An example of archea would be Halobacterials
- One adaptation is thermophiles are heat tolerables used to survive in higher temperatures. to survive in higher temperatures with functional proteins the amino acids used to protein making is different. Thermophiles in proteins used an increased amount of hydrophobic residues and more polar residues in soluble proteins.
- Another adaption is psychrophilic proteins. Psychrophillic proteins have a reduced hydrophobic core and a less charged protein surface to maintain flexibility and activity under cold temperatures.
